Dr Dominic Paviour is a Clinical Neurologist and founding partner of Eopinex LTD. He has a busy General Neurology in-patient and out-patient practice and he sees up to 800 new and 1200 follow up patients annually.
He graduated from Medical School with distinction, winning the Medical School Gold Medal and obtained MRCP (London) in 2001 and a PhD from UCL in 2006 for research in the field of degenerative Neurological disorders. He was elected to Fellowship of The Royal College of Physicians in 2015.
The focus of his clinical practice is General Neurology, which encompasses the assessment, investigation, diagnosis and management of all acute and chronic disorders of the central and peripheral nervous system.
He looks after acutely unwell adult in-patients on a Neurology unit within a tertiary neurosciences unit and is on an on-call rota for acute Neurology and Stroke including being responsible for thrombolysis and thrombectomy pathway decisions.
He has a specialist interest in movement disorders within the scope of clinical neurology and is a member of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society and the ABN Movement Disorders Advisory group.
He has a specialist interest in Neurological disorders in pregnancy and the puerperium and runs a monthly joint Neurology and Obstetric specialist clinic, seeing approximately 80-100 patients annually.
He has contributed to a number of book chapters relating to his sub-specialist interests and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals.
He attends training courses on medical expert witness work and report writing and has completed the Cardiff University Bond Solon Civil Expert Certification (2021).
He prepares approximately 80-100 reports annually relating to Civil claims (clinical negligence and personal injury), Family Court cases and Criminal cases.
The balance of his reports is approximately 30% for the Defendant and 70% for the Claimant.
