Dr Yogarajah prepares between 20-30 reports annually and has also completed the Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS) Expert Witness Certificate. He prepares a broad range of reports pertaining to civil, criminal and family law, and has attended court on several occasions. His work has an approximate 50:50 claimant:defendant split.
Dr Yogarajah has a broad range of clinical experience managing both acute and chronic neurological disorders.
Dr Yogarajah graduated from University College London in 2001 with several medical school prizes including the Featherspoon and William & Edith Ryman prize. Following graduation he completed training in general medicine the Royal Free Hospital and Queen Elizabeth II hospital. He then undertook a PhD in neurology at the Queen Square Institute of Neurology where he was awarded several prizes for his research including the UKILAE UK Chapter award, American Epilepsy Society young investigator award, Brain exit scholarship, and Medical Research Society/Academy of Medical Sciences Neurosciences Section Prize.
Following his PHD he completed his neurology training at the Atkinson Morley Regional Neuroscience Unity at St George’s Hospital NHS Trust, and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery at University College London Hospitals NHS Trust. He initially worked as a neurology consultant at the Atkinson Morley Regional Neuroscience Unity from 2017, before moving to the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in 2021. He also works as a clinical academic at the Queen Square Institute of Neurology where his research is funded by the MRC/NIHR, and Association of British Neurologists. His research has focused on epilepsy and functional neurological disorders. He has won prizes for his research including the Alwyn Lishman prize awarded in 2018 by the British neuropsychiatry association. He has published over 90 peer reviewed scientific articles, written and edited a textbook of neurology (CrashCourse neurology) and contributed to several other neurology textbooks. He is an invited speaker at both national and international conferences.
