Dr SK. Mamun Ur Rashid is a UK-trained Consultant in Audiovestibular Medicine at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in the diagnosis and management of dizziness, balance disorders, and complex hearing conditions in both adults and children.
With advanced qualifications in audiology, otolaryngology, and medical education – including MRCS, DOHNS, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Audiology – Dr Rashid combines surgical training (ENT) with specialist expertise in vestibular and auditory disorders. His clinical practice focuses on conditions such as vestibular migraine, Ménière’s disease, bilateral vestibulopathy, labyrinthitis, BPPV, tinnitus, auditory processing disorder, hearing loss, misophonia, and hyperacusis.
Dr Rashid has trained across leading UK centres, including University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, and has a strong track record in clinical governance, service development, and multidisciplinary care. He is actively involved in research, with peer-reviewed publications in areas such as vestibular migraine and functional hearing loss, and regularly presents at national and international meetings.
Alongside his clinical work, he has a dedicated interest in medical education. His teaching integrates evidence-based approaches such as cognitive load theory and simulation-based learning to improve clinical training and patient outcomes.
