Dr Donnelly is a Consultant Neurologist with a busy general neurology practice, and a specialist interest in neuro-rehabilitation.
She is the consultant for the Royal Free London level 2 inpatient neurorehabilitation centre (NRC), and also the lead for community neurorehabilitation.
She provides hospital in-reach and community outreach for the management of chronic neurological disease, particularly spasticity.
Dr Donnelly graduated from the University of Glasgow, and undertook general medical training at Kings College Hospital London. She completed her neurology training in London at neuroscience centres including the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN), Guys and St Thomas’, and Kings College Hospital.
She completed the ‘National Treasure’ fellowship in neurorehabilitation and management of complex spasticity at NHNN, before becoming a consultant neurologist at the Royal Free London NHS Trust. Dr Donnelly has also been a clinical editor for the British Medical Journal Group, and for BioMed Central, and is currently co Editor in Chief of the academic neuroscience and neurorehabilitation journal ACNR (www.acnr.co.uk).
