Mr Erlick Pereira is Reader in Neurosurgery at St George’s, University of London and Honorary Consultant Neurosurgeon at St George’s University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, The Royal Marsden and Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and The London Clinic.
He has been in Neurosurgery since 2006 and a Consultant since 2016 and he has a busy clinical practice, seeing 700 outpatients a year and managing all on-call neurosurgical emergencies at a major teaching hospital that is a level 1 trauma centre and hub for complex spinal surgery.
His subspecialist expertise is in functional neurosurgery for movement disorders and pain, including deep brain stimulation and spinal cord stimulation and he has completed several claimant and defence instructions in those fields.
He has published nearly 200 papers, several books and book chapters including in Gray’s Anatomy. He has served on the Academic Committee of the Society of British Neurological Surgeons and the British Society of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery.
